When Cork meets Hydroponics?

When Cork meets Hydroponics?

What is Hydroponics?

Hydroponics is a subset of hydroculture, the method of growing plants without soil, using mineral nutrient solutions in a water solvent base.

So what better way to further innovate using a sustainable material like lightweight, floating Cork than to create a Cork floating island to aid the growth of plants, and vegetables, in a environmentally friendly way.

Today more and more is possible to find hydroponic grown products in your local supermarket. One of the advantages of growing vegetables in a hydroponic manner, does not take up too much space and you can have production year round.

Some of the largest production of hydroponic vegetables are based in Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Japan and Sweden.
